Police have arrested three people with elephant tusks in Amlekhgunj

According to the Bara Police, three persons were arrested from Amlekhgunj Bazaar in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolis-21 of Bara along with a 4-foot-long, 12-inch-thick elephant tusk.

Among the arrested are Surya Pratap Tamang, 29, of Nijgadh Municipality-11, Dil Bahadur Ghalan of Bara Nijgadh Municipality-11, Ratanpur, and Subash Tamang of Makawanpur Hetauda.

The motorcycle (Na 50 Pa 1227) heading towards Pathalaya from Hetauda was found hiding the tusks in a bag by the police deployed at the Area Police Office, Amlekhgunj.
