Last night, four COVID-19 infected persons died while receiving treatment at various Banke hospitals.

According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, two patients died in Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj, one in Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur, and one at the United Hospital in Nepalgunj.

A 39-year-old man from Bansgadhi municipality-8, Bardia, a 55-year-old man from Thakurbaba municipality-8, Bardia, a 33-year-old woman from Baijanath rural municipality-3, Banke, and a 45-year-old woman from Nepalgunj sub-metropolis-1 are among the deceased, according to Tej Oli, a resource person at the center.

COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 313 people from outside the district and 302 people from within Banke.

However, in the last week, the rate of infection and death in Banke district has decreased.
