Agni Prasad Sapkota says Parliament stalemate will end soon

Agni Prasad Sapkota has expressed confidence that the parliamentary standoff will be resolved shortly through political consensus.

Agni Prasad Sapkota added that the solution to the political crisis would be sought from the newly re-established parliament.

“As a result of your vote, I am the Speaker of the House today.” “Because you have appointed me to lead one of the three organs of the state, I will not betray your faith and trust,” he declared.

Madhav Sapkota, a central member of the CPN (Maoist Center), Chief District Officer Bedanidhi Khanal, and the heads of the district security agency were also there.

The main opposition, the CPN-UML, has been consistently stalling the House of Representatives, accusing Speaker Sapkota of bias and failing to take action against Unified Socialist Party legislators.
