Australia wins ODI series


Australia has won the three-match ODI series 2-1 against the West Indies. Australia won the third and final match by 6 wickets to win the series.

Earlier, Australia had won the first ODI by 133 runs while the second ODI was won by West Indies by 4 wickets.

Australia completed the 153-run target set by the West Indies in Bridgetown by losing four wickets in 30.3 overs. Matthew Wade hit a half-century for Australia. 

He played 52 balls and scored an unbeaten 51 runs with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Alex Kerry contributed 35 runs and Mitchell Mars 29 runs. Aston Agar remained unbeaten on 19 runs.

Earlier, the home team, which had won the toss and elected to bat first, was bowled out for 152 in 45.1 overs by the West Indies. Opener Evin Lewis remained unbeaten on 55 but other players could not complete even 20 runs individually.

The Australian bowler did a great job in dismissing the West Indies. Mitchell Starc took the most 3 wickets. Aston Egger took 2 wickets for 31 runs in 10 overs with 1 maiden. 

Jose Hazelwood took 2 wickets for 18 runs with 1 maiden in 8 overs. Adam Jampa took 2 wickets for 29 runs in 10 overs with 2 maidens. Aston Turner took 1 wicket.

Aston Agar was named Man of the Match and Mitchell Stars was named Player of the Series. Starley took a total of 11 wickets in the series.
