CPN-UML leader Bamdev Gautam has accused the government of taking anti-farmer steps.

Gautam, who is also the president of the All Nepal Federation of Farmers, has condemned the government’s move saying that the agricultural sector is being destroyed.

Giving best wishes in a statement on the occasion of National Paddy Day, Gautam accused the government of being an obstacle in the development of the agricultural sector.

He alleges that the Foreign Investment Management Act has been amended to make the farmers unemployed and homeless by allowing multinational companies to enter the primary manufacturing sector of Nepal.
