Bar Association demands to investigate the audio and take action against the culprits

July 8, Kathmandu. The Nepal Bar Association has demanded an investigation into the audio recording of a scuffle between Kathmandu District Court Judge Raj Kumar Koirala and advocate Rudra Prasad Pokhrel to secure the release of Ichchha Raj Tamang on bail.

Advocate Anjita Khanal, general secretary of the association, has issued a statement demanding the concerned regulatory bodies to bring the culprits to justice after investigating the authenticity and factual details of the audio news.

Stating that constitutional supremacy, rule of law, independent and impartial judiciary, professional and dignified Bar Association are the main goals of the association, the statement said: The Nepal Bar Association strongly condemns the indecent and improper acts.

The Judicial Council has formed a committee to investigate Kathmandu District Court Judge Koirala. Similarly, the Bar Council has also sought clarification from Advocate Pokharel.
