The road section has been closed since Monday due to a landslide caused by torrential rain in Kavrebhir.

Similarly, the road near Ghopteodhar of the same site along the borderland of Myagdi and Mustang districts had collapsed, adding to the damage caused by vehicular traffic.

Sherchan added that maintenance of 50 meters of the road was completed on Wednesday and Thursday with the mobilization of construction equipment and human resources.

The Myagdi section of the highway is prone to frequent disruptions during the monsoon season.
