Bheri Hospital expands oxygen and pipeline facilities

With the arrival of a liquid oxygen tank at Bheri Hospital in Banke district, work on expanding the oxygen plant and pipeline facilities has picked up speed.

The tank, which had come from India, was capable of holding 20,000 liters of liquid oxygen. After that, the liquid oxygen is transformed to gas and sent to the bed via the central conduit.

The government has allotted Rs 150 million for the expansion of the Bheri Hospital’s oxygen plants, tanks, and pipes, according to Dr Prakash Thapa, the hospital’s medical superintendent.

With the installation of liquid oxygen gas and the enlargement of the pipeline, Dr. Thapa thinks that the Hospital will not run out of oxygen gas to treat COVID-19 and other patients.
