CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has congratulated Far-Western Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatt on his vote of confidence.

Through social media, Rawal has mentioned that others can learn political ethics with Bhatt who has received a vote of confidence.

“Should those who violate the law, legislation and system learn some political ethics from him?” Rawal wrote. Bhatta was voted in by 17 UML MPs. After 17 lawmakers from the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction voted, Bhatta got 30 votes for the chief ministership.

In the 51-member state assembly, 26 MPs were needed to get a majority. However, Chief Minister Bhatta got 13 votes from the Leader Nepal Group and 13 votes from the Maoist Center. The 12-seat Nepali Congress remained neutral, while seven lawmakers from the UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s group and two from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) voted against.
