On Thursday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba met at the President’s office in Shital Niwas.
According to Prime Minister Deuba‘s Secretariat, the two held an hour-long discussion from 3 to 4 p.m. on contemporary politics. Wednesday marked the conclusion of the election for 19 National Assembly seats, with the ruling coalition winning 18 seats.
“It was a routine meeting,” President Bhandari Bhesharaj Adhikari’s Chief Personal Secretary Bhandari Bhesharaj Adhikari stated.
Meanwhile, the ruling coalition has been debating when to hold local government elections. According to the ruling coalition, the Local Level Election Act should be amended because it contradicts the constitution.
