Emerging Nepali film director Bisharad Basnet has passed away. He died on Friday.
Bisharad, 39, died at Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur while undergoing treatment.
He was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday.
Born in India and working in India for a long time, Bisharad had worked as a co-director in the film ‘Yata Na Uta’. The movie ‘Mr. Virgin’ directed by him was in the news.
Bisharad’s dream of taking Nepali cinema to new heights remained unfulfilled. He also taught acting at the Everest Film Academy. While living in India, he had gained good experience in the field of drama.
Bisharad had even made preparations to make a sequel to the movie ‘Mr. Virgin’. Basnet also conducted a workshop titled ‘Clown at Work’ at the Mandala Theater.
