Brazil beat Spain in Malcolm’s decisive goal to win men’s football at the Tokyo Olympics in Japan.
Brazil won the gold medal for the second time in a row, beating Spain 2-1 in extra time in the final on Saturday.
Mathews Cunha and Malcolm scored to give Brazil the win. Spain’s Mikel O’Reilly returned a goal.
In the 38th minute of the game at Nissan Stadium, Brazil lost the opportunity to take the lead when Richardson failed to score from the penalty spot.
But Matheus Cunha scored in the injury time of the first half to give Brazil a 1-0 lead.
In the 61st minute, O’Reilly equalized for Spain.
The match went into extra time after the scheduled 90 minutes of play ended in a 1-1 draw.
Where Malcolm of Brazil became the hero. He scored in the 108th minute to give Brazil a 2-1 victory.
Brazil has won gold in Olympic football for the second time in a row. Brazil had previously won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics at home.
