A meeting of the Central Security Committee has been held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.

The meeting held at Singha Durbar discussed various issues of internal security challenges.

Home Secretary Maheshwar Neupane, Rathi Prabhuram Sharma of the Nepal Army, Inspector General of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, Chief of the Armed Police Force IGP Shailendra Khanal, Chief of the National Investigation Department Ganesh Adhikari, and Chief of the Peace and Security Division of the Ministry Phanindra Mani Pokharel were present at the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the role to be played by the home administration in preventing and controlling the possible third wave of Covid-19 virus infection. 

According to an official who participated, the police have also decided to focus on easy management of health items and control of the black market.

Discussions have also been held on relief, rescue, and assistance to the people affected by natural calamities including floods and landslides.
