Champions League: Ronaldo’s goal gives United a victory

English club Manchester United has made a great comeback in the European Champions League by defeating Italian club Atlanta 3-2.

United are two goals behind at home to Old Trafford, returning three goals in a row.

Atlanta scored two goals in the first half and United returned three goals in the second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive goal. He scored in the 81st minute to secure the victory for United. Earlier, Marcus Rashford equalized in the 53rd minute and Harry Maguire in the 75th minute.

For Atlanta, Mario Pasalic scored in the 15th minute and Merih Demiral in the 29th minute to give them a two-goal lead.

After the victory, United has risen to the top spot by adding 6 points from three games in Group F in the Champions League. Atlanta is in second place with four points from the same game.

In another match of the same group, Spanish club Villarreal defeated Swiss club Young Boys 4-1. Gerard Moreno scored twice and Yeremi Pino and Samuel Chukwueze scored once each for Villarreal.

Villarreal is third with four points from three games. Young Boys is at the bottom with three points.
