China remains at the top with 70 medals at the 32nd Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
China has managed to occupy the top spot, surpassing the United States and Japan. China has so far won 32 gold, 22 silver and 16 bronze medals.
The United States is second and Japan is third. The United States has won 25 gold, 31 silver and 23 bronze medals, while Japan has won 21 gold, seven silver and 12 bronze medals.
Similarly, the United Kingdom has risen to the fourth position with 15 gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze medals
Australia is fifth with 15 gold, four silver and 17 bronze medals.
Similarly, the Russian Olympic Committee has dropped to sixth place in the medal table. He has won 14 gold, 21 silver and 18 bronze medals. Germany is seventh with nine gold, eight silver and 16 bronze, France is eighth with six gold, 10 silver and nine bronze, Italy is ninth with six gold, nine silver and 16 bronze and the Netherlands is tenth with six gold, eight silver and nine bronze. Of the 205 countries participating in the Tokyo Olympics, 85 have so far won medals.
Five athletes from Nepal had participated in the Tokyo Olympics in four games. Kalpana Pariyar of shooting, Sonia Bhatt of judo, Alex Shah and Gaurika Singh of swimming and Saraswati Chaudhary of athletics competed in their respective sports. All five are out of the Tokyo Olympics.
