Today, 900,000 doses of COVID vaccine will arrive from China

COVID-19 vaccine doses totaling 900,000 are expected to arrive in Nepal today from China’s northern neighbor.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, 800,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be delivered from Beijing, China’s capital, while 100,000 doses will be delivered from Tibet, China’s autonomous region.

At 11 p.m. Monday, a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) airbus flew to Beijing with COVID-19 vaccines donated by China.

According to government officials, 900,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine donated by China are expected to arrive in Nepal by tonight.During a phone conversation with President Bidya Bhandari on May 26, Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal.

According to TIA, the NAC Airbus will depart Beijing at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and arrive in Kathmandu by Tuesday night.
