The Chinese vaccine is being administered to different age groups from today.
Earlier, the government had said that the age group would be 60 to 64 years.
According to a circular issued on Monday, priority will be given to those who are over 18 years of age in the districts adjoining Tibet, while those who are between 55 and 59 years of age in all Himalayan districts will be given priority.
In the case of other districts, it has been requested through a circular to give priority to the age group of 62-64 years. Although there is not enough vaccination for the senior citizens in the age group of 60 to 64 years, it has been requested to give priority to the senior citizens of the upper age group and vaccinate the rest on the basis of availability.
