Conventions of 322 state assembly constituencies across the country have been concluded for the state conventions to be held on November 3 and 4 under the party’s 14th general convention.

Congress Election Committee Coordinator and Senior Advocate Gopal Krishna Ghimire informed that the convention of all the state assembly constituencies has been completed except the eight state assembly constituencies of Sarlahi. “The election committee is working to conclude the eight state assembly sessions in four constituencies of Sarlahi today,” he said. There are 330 state assembly constituencies out of 165 constituencies across the country.

The ward convention of Sarlahi and Rasuwa was delayed due to a dispute between the active members of the Nepali Congress. District conventions of more than 60 districts have been completed under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress. Congress is holding state conventions in all the states simultaneously on November 3 and 4. The Central General Convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) is being held in Kathmandu from November 8 onwards.
