A meeting of the top leaders of the Nepali Congress is being held today.
Party president Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the party’s top leaders.
The meeting will be attended by Congress office bearers, former office bearers and coordinators and members of the Active Membership Investigation Committee.
Leaders have said that preparations for the party’s upcoming general convention and active member disputes will be discussed at a meeting to be held at the party office, Sanepa, at 2 pm today.
The schedule for the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress to be held in Kathmandu from September 1 to 3 has been made public.
However, the Congress is still engaged in active membership. There has been intense controversy over active membership.
Although an investigation committee headed by Ramesh Lekhak was formed to decide on the active membership, it has not been able to investigate the complaint due to lack of criteria.
