COVID-19 cases rise in Bhaktapur, with 95 people infected and quarantined

COVID-19 infection and death rates are continuing to rise in Bhaktapur. According to the District Health Office in Bhaktapur, 271 people have died of COVID-19 in the district as of Friday.

So far, 17,576 people have been infected, with 4,555 active cases. 4,134 of them are in home isolation, with the rest in hospitals and institutions. According to Chief of the Office Krishna Mijar, 12,990 people have recovered from the virus as of today.

Madhyapur Thimi has the highest number of active cases of infection as well as deaths, followed by Surya Binayak, Bhaktapur, and Chagunarayan municipalities. All of Bhaktpur’s hospitals are overflowing with infected patients.
