The COVID-19 infection has now made Kailali district the worst-affected district.
The district bordering neighboring India is struggling to fight the COVID-19 pandemic as the virus’s second wave spreads rapidly.
In the month of Baishakh alone, 10,441 people have been infected with the virus.
Similarly, in the last 30 days, 6,937 infected people have been recovered in the district. According to the data, 189 people infected with the virus died in the district during the same time period.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader Dr. Arju Rana Deuba has contributed one million rupees to the Mayor Welfare Fund established by Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City to help Covid-19 patients.
Leader Deuba provided financial support for the establishment of an oxygen plant and the purchase of oxygen cylinders.
