CPN UML Gandaki forms a parliamentary group

The Gandaki Pradesh Parliamentary Party of the CPN-UML Gandaki has formed a parliamentary group to monitor the work of the state government.

A parliamentary group has been formed to be affiliated with the ministry to monitor the work done by the state government. UML MP Mohan Prasad Regmi of Syangja has been appointed as the coordinator of the group.

According to Regmi, a nine-member committee has been formed to look after all the 11 ministries under Gandaki. “This is not a shadow government, it is a parliamentary group formed according to the party’s constitution,” Regmi told KhabarHub.

Regmi clarified that the parliamentary group was formed for the purpose of conducting research with development as per the party’s constitution.

The main responsibility of most of the groups has been given to the former ministers. Former Minister Ram Sharan Basnet has been given the responsibility of the Physical Infrastructure and Transport Development Group while former Minister Vikas Lamsal has been given the responsibility of the Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment Development Group.

Similarly, former Minister Naradevi Punmagar has been given charge of the social development group while Chandra Mohan Gauchan, MP, is the coordinator of the law, information and communication, and state affairs group.

Similarly, Indralal Sapkota, coordinator of the finance group, Mitra Kumari Gurung, coordinator of land, management, and agriculture group, and Meen Prasad Gurung, coordinator of energy and drinking water group have been appointed. Regmi is the main coordinator of the three-member group.
