Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is preparing to become the party’s presidential candidate, has started discussions with leaders close to him on Sunday.
Deuba, who had earlier held discussions with the leaders of Provinces 1 and 2, is now holding discussions with the leaders of Bagmati Province. Leader of Krishna Prasad Sitaula’s party Shiva Humagain is also participating in the discussion at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.
After holding discussions with the leaders of Bagmati Pradesh, he is preparing to hold discussions with the leaders of Gandaki Pradesh on Sunday, according to the secretariat of Chairman Deuba.
In the discussions so far, Deuba has been urging to mobilize as many delegates as possible for the upcoming 14th General Convention.
During a discussion with the leaders of State 2 on Saturday, Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi had also expressed his desire to become a candidate for the post. But Deuba did not show any sign of supporting the fund, a leader said.
