Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed party leaders and cadres to work hard to rescue and relieve flood-affected areas.

He said that the floods, landslides and erosion in various parts of the country including Sindhupalchowk and Manang have taken a terrible turn due to the incessant rains that have been falling on social media for the past few days.

Former Prime Minister Deuba has also demanded the government to immediately rescue the affected people and relocate them to safer places and announce the necessary relief package for them.

Dozens of houses have been washed away in Manang due to incessant rains for the past few days and dozens of people have gone missing in Melamchi Bazaar and other areas of Sindhupalchowk.
