Dharan lockdown: Dharan to add ten days of lockdown. A meeting of the executive committee chaired by Mayor Tilak Rai in the sub-metropolis today (Tuesday) has decided to lockdown.

As the coronavirus is spreading in Dharan at the community level as well, the sub-metropolitan government has decided to carry out a strict curfew for 10 days from August 20 to 29.

Earlier, active political parties in Dharan had submitted a joint memorandum stating that the corona was infected and the death rate was high.

Similarly, experts also suggested lockdown.

An all-party meeting held in the presence of Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal on Monday had recommended a 10-day lockdown in Dharan.

It has been decided to strictly enforce the lockdown in coordination with the police administration and to mobilize toll development organizations in all the wards to implement the lockdown.

During the lockdown, only pharmacies and dairy products (without opening shops) can be sold and distributed.

Similarly, to make arrangements for effective monitoring, increase PCR testing and antigen testing, It has been decided to form a coordination committee comprising the ward chairpersons of 14, 15, 16, and 17.
