Earthquake reported with epicenter Udayapur this morning

An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck at 9.54 am today. The epicenter was reported near the Udayapur pond. 

According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, the Earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck at 9.54 am today.

Ram Prasad Ghimire, Director General of the Department of Mines and Geology, said that an investigation was underway into whether the Gorkha earthquake of 2072 BS was the aftershock or a new earthquake.
