At least 48 people have been killed in ethnic riots in Sudan’s western Darfur region.
A statement issued by a Sudanese NGO on Monday said 48 people had been killed in two days of ethnic violence in the Darfur region.
According to officials, there were clashes between the locals in the area. At least 48 people have been killed and dozens more injured in what became known as the “Kirnik” attack in southern Darfur.
The death toll has not yet been determined, according to the agency. Many more were feared dead, the statement said.
