The Government of Ireland has provided various health equipment and supplies to Nepal. (European Union)
EU Ambassador to Nepal Nona Deprez handed over the supplies to Health and Population Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang at a brief function held at Tribhuvan International Airport this morning.
The materials handed over today include 72 oxygen concentrators, 44 ventilators, 12 BTAP machines and 400 oximeters.
Similarly, the health equipment provided by the Danish government through the same mechanism will arrive in Nepal on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Denmark has provided 26 units of ventilators and other medical equipment.
On the occasion, Minister Tamang expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Government of Nepal to the people and government of both the countries for providing timely medical supplies to fight the epidemic.
