Gandaki Province: In just three weeks in Gandaki province, up to 300 health workers, including doctors & nurses, tested positive for Covid.
COVID-19 has been diagnosed in the majority of health workers at Western Regional Hospital and the Pokhara Health Science Academy’s Infectious Disease Hospital, where coronavirus patients are being treated.
As a result, NELUMBO Nepal – an organization dedicated to health and the environment – has provided the Health Science Academy with five staff nurses. NELUMBO Nepal had previously sent four health workers to the Hospital for Infectious Diseases.
The institution has offered assistance to COVID specialized hospitals in order to bridge the workforce gap during the peak of the third wave of contagion and to facilitate the provision of health services to citizens.
Ekdev Devkota, Chairman of NELUMBO, and Dr. Bharat Bahadur Khatri, Director of Pokhara Health Science Academy, signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect on Sunday.
