In honor of Princess Diana’s love of charity, Kensington Palace recently unveiled a statue of the late royal, which highlighted her connection with children.At the unveiling ceremony for Diana’s statue on July 1, the day she would have turned 60, her sons Prince Harry and Prince William reunited.Their late mother was represented by a sculpture with her arms around a boy and a girl with a third child in the background. Harry and William each pulled off a piece of green cloth in order to reveal the sculpture.

Over 100 charities were under her patronage.

The Diana Award charity, which was established in her honor, also helps inspire young people to make positive changes in their lives.

Meanwhile, Harry and William commissioned the statue in 2017 in memory of their mother on the twentieth anniversary of her death.

In addition to honoring her positive impact in the United Kingdom and worldwide, the royal siblings wanted future generations to appreciate the significance of her role in history.
