Hetauda Hospital began producing oxygen on Sunday.

According to the hospital, the oxygen factory it put up has the capability to manufacture 15 filled oxygen cylinders each day, compared to its demand for over 100 filled cylinders.

Meanwhile, work on an oxygen factory with a daily capacity of 150 filled oxygen cylinders is ongoing. The Hetauda Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiated the project.

The Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City has been sending oxygen to Makawanpur district from Itahari and Nuwakot to meet the need for life-saving oxygen, according to sub metropolis chief Hari Bahadur Mahat.

According to the hospital, 54 COVID-19 infected people are now being treated at the Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences facility.
