Snow has fallen in Simkot, the district seat of Humla, since Friday evening.

Heavy snowfall has made it impossible for many to leave their houses.

The temperature has plummeted to minus 12 degrees Celsius.

According to Chapal Lama, a Tumkot resident, up to four feet of snow has piled in Malimi, Muchul, and other districts of Namkha Municipality as a result of the snowfall.

As a result, the drinking water and river water have both frozen. Simkot, which is always teeming with people, is now empty due to the harsh cold and snow.

The lives of people in the Simkot area have been disrupted, according to Assistant Chief District Officer Dasharath Rai, due to the persistent snowfall.
