India bans import of Chinese electronics

India bans import of wireless devices produced in China

India has banned the import of wireless devices manufactured in China.

The Indian government has banned the import of wireless devices such as Bluetooth speakers, wireless earphones, smartphones, smartwatches, and laptops made in China.

It has been analyzed that India wants to stop the decision on import of such materials and ban electric wireless equipment produced in China.

The Indian government has not taken a decision on the issue, delaying the launch of Chinese-made electronic devices such as Siomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Lenovo.

In India, the Department of Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) under the Ministry of Information has been blocking the import of such devices since last November.

More than 80 US, Chinese and Korean applications have been blocked because the WPC has not ruled on the matter.

The government has said that the representation of industrial groups and private companies remains to be addressed in this regard.

Since Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, India has been adopting a strict policy against imports from China, emphasizing economic self-reliance.
