India has today given Nepal supplies for disaster aid.

Bal Krishna Khand, the minister of home affairs, received shipments of flood and disaster relief supplies from India’s ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singhdurbar.

Three thousand tents and ten motorized inflatable boats are part of the relief supplies. Home Minister Khand expressed his gratitude to the Indian government for the supplies during the occasion.

Minister Khand noted that in addition to their government-to-government ties, Nepal and India have strong people-to-people ties and that Nepal is always willing to deepen these ties.

He expressed his appreciation for the ongoing Nepal-India partnership in disaster relief and expressed the hope that the Indian government will continue to provide assistance in the future.

According to a press statement from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Ambassador Srivastava further stated that this timely supply of relief material is best used by concerned organizations to achieve its greatest benefit through prompt distribution and efficient utilization.
