International flights to shutdown from today midnight

Except for Nepal-India flights, the Nepal government has decided to suspend all international flight services beginning Thursday midnight (May 6).

 

However, two flights per week between Kathmandu and Delhi will continue to operate.

In light of the growing number of COVID-19 cases, a cabinet meeting held on Sunday made this decision. With this decision, international flights will be suspended until further notice, with the exception of two Kathmandu-Delhi flights.

Tara Nath Adhikari, Joint Secretary to the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and the ministry’s spokesperson, announced that the government has suspended international flights indefinitely.

 

Domestic flights have been grounded since Monday at midnight.
