 Japan has won a historic gold medal in the sport of skateboarding for the first time in the Olympics.

On Sunday, the third day of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Horigome Yuto of Japan won the first gold of the sport.

Yuto won gold with a total score of 37.18 in the men’s street final of the skateboard at Arieke Sports Park. 

Hoefler Kelvin of Brazil won silver and Eaton Jagar of the United States won bronze.

After winning gold in skateboarding, Japan has won 3 gold medals like China. 

Japan topped the list with 3 gold and 1 bronze. China has won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals.
