RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa has lauded former King Gyanendra Shah in connection with the departure of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
After President Ghani left the country on Sunday even before the Taliban seized power, Thapa has raised the issue that the then King Gyanendra did not leave the country even after the establishment of the republic in 2063 BS.
“My respect for King Gyanendra is further enhanced by the fact that the President of Afghanistan fled the country when the Taliban insurgents were trying to seize power,” Thapa wrote on Twitter on Monday morning. This is the difference between a king and a president. ‘
