Kathmandu Valley becoming a hotspot of Omicron variant

Kathmandu Valley: Patients of Omicron have been increasing at an alarming rate in the Kathmandu Valley, which has become a hotspot for the third wave of COVID-19 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as many as 3,075 people in the country were infected with COVID-19 on a single day on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry, Valley alone registered 1,498 cases.

According to the Ministry, 1,128 people in Kathmandu were infected with the coronavirus, 134 in Bhaktapur, and 236 in Lalitpur.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in the Kathmandu has surpassed 11,000, with two people succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.
