CPN-UML leader Khim Lal Bhattarai has accused the opposition alliance of trying to restore the monarchy in the country.

Bhattarai, who is also the UML National Assembly Whip, said that Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Upendra were committing misdeeds to turn the country’s politics towards Panchayat and monarchy.

He also called on Facebook on Friday to be vigilant as he has committed misdeeds to restore the monarchy in the guise of democracy and progress.

Stating that there can be no independent practice in a multi-party system, Bhattarai remarked that the opposition alliance is working hard for independent practice.

He said, “There can be no independent practice in a multi-party system. However, the opposition coalition is pushing for an independent exercise. Leaders of the alliance Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Upendra are committing misdeeds to turn the politics of the country towards Panchayat and monarchy in the guise of democracy and progress. Let’s be careful. ‘

He further said, “Article 76 (5) of the constitution belongs to both the parliamentarians and the parties. The party’s decision and support is not necessary to be the prime ministerial candidate. But he needs the support of the party to become prime minister. He has to get the support of the parties. As it is mentioned in Article 5, Article 76, in accordance with Article 2, it is certain that the party should support it and the MP should be whipped.

In an interaction with the editor on Thursday, Prachanda praised the monarchy and the king in the name of criticizing the president.
