Lata Mangeshkar, also known as the ‘Queen of Melody’ and the ‘Nightingale of India,’ died in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday morning.
According to news18.com, the 92-year-old singer died at 8:12 a.m.
On January 8, she tested positive with COVID-19 and was being treated at a city hospital.
Her health had been improving until last week when it began to deteriorate, and she was placed back on ventilator support on Saturday morning.
In addition, the singer was being treated for pneumonia. On January 30, she was free of COVID-19 and pneumonia.
