The BBC has released a list of the 100 most inspiring and influential women of the year 2021.
The list includes women who have played a key role in transforming society and culture around the world, according to the BBC.
The youngest winners this year are Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, Samoa’s first female prime minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa, the head of the Vaccine Confident Project ProfessorHeidi Larson, and renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
Most of the women on the list are from Afghanistan. The BBC has stated that they could not publish the real names of some of them due to security reasons. Two from India and two from China are also on the list.
