Duisburg. The Duisburg Zoo is missing a little panda. The zoo announced on Thursday evening that the animal named Jang has been searched for on the premises since Thursday morning.
How the red panda could leave the enclosure was initially unclear.
The zoo currently assumes that Jang could be in one of the numerous treetops on the zoo grounds.
Little panda: No evidence yet on Friday morning
If the animal should be spotted outside the facility, the zoo asks you to inform the police immediately.
However, passers-by should not try to catch the animal.
According to the information, small pandas with a height of around 50 centimeters plus a tail and a weight of around five kilos are safe for humans.
The little panda was still missing on Friday morning.
So far, however, no indications have been received that the bear is outside the facility, said a police spokesman.
