CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s group is preparing to register a new party as soon as the ordinance on political parties comes.
The government has recommended the ordinance to the President on Tuesday so that the parties can be divided by increasing the number of parliamentary parties or the Central Committee to 20 percent.
However, the president has yet to verify.
A central member of the Nepal Group informed that preparations are being made to register a new party as soon as the President issues the ordinance.
The signatures of 57 central members have been collected. Today some more friends will also come, ‘he said,’ when the ordinance comes, we will register the party. ‘
According to the leaders, the new party is preparing to be named CPN-UML Socialist. Saying that some other names are also being discussed in the alternative, the central member said that the CPN-UML socialist will be the finalist.
Madhav Kumar Nepal will be the chairman of the new party while other office-bearers have not been discussed.
