A fire has broken out in Gamgadhi Bajar of Mugu district headquarters destroying 17 houses and three mobile shops. 

A mud house has been demolished while trying to control the fire.

The fire started at around 12:30 last night from a burning lamp in Khimme Lama’s house. According to DSP Chitra Bahadur Bhattarai of District Police Office, Mugu, the fire was brought under control by the security personnel with the help of locals.

The fire was difficult to control as the houses in Gamgadhi Bajar were made of wood and connected to each other. A mud house of Gorakh Malla has been demolished while extinguishing the fire.

No casualties were reported in the blaze. DSP Bhattarai said that the exact details of the damage have not been revealed yet. No casualties were reported in the blaze.
