The Ram Raja Prasad Singh Institute of Health Sciences, which has been embroiled in a land dispute for a long time, has decided to build a medical college in Rajbiraj.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli laid the foundation stone of the land dispute from Kathmandu through virtual media on Tuesday. Construction work of the foundation has moved ahead with the foundation stone.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli expressed confidence that the completion of the construction work would help in the economic development of the Saptari district.
Addressing the State Assembly of State 2, Prime Minister Oli had announced to establish a medical college in the name of Republican leader Ram Raja Prasad Singh in Rajbiraj.
For which Rajbiraj Municipality has given 10 nos.
The ward had provided 62 bighas of land along the postal highway in Biraul.
However, a dispute had erupted after a local cooperative blocked the land saying that the municipality had already leased it for an agricultural market.
The Ram Raja Health Science Academy Infrastructure Preparation Development Committee has stated that the aim is to speed up the construction work of the academy costing around Rs 12 billion and bring it into operation within five years.
