Her Latin America tour proved to be a hit, as far as the fans were concerned, but it came with plenty of lows for Cyrus, including her getting a rather deadly infection. So why did she feel it was all worth it? Let’s find out.
Miley Cyrus Faced Plane Trouble

March saw Miley Cyrus perform with the Foo Fighters in Bogota Colombia. Earlier, she was also supposed to perform on the second day of Paraguay’s Asunciónico festival on March 23, but the event had to be canceled because of inclement weather. In fact, Cyrus had a rather adventurous flight as well, where her plane was actually struck by lightning, caught in the storm.
While everyone inside was fine, the plane did have to make an emergency landing, and Cyrus tweeted about it as well. She wrote: “To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lightning. My crew, band, friends, and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing.”
She also shared footage shot inside the plane during the storm in the tweet.
