Three people were killed in a mine accident in China’s Shandong Province

Three coal miners died after a mine accident, a roof collapsed on them in east China’s Shandong Province, local authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

According to the Xinhua news agency, the accident occurred on May 26 at a coal mine in Weishan County, Jining City, trapping six miners.

Authorities only managed to save three workers, according to the county’s emergency management bureau.
