July 7, Kathmandu. Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that the increase in fuel price is compelling.

Replying to today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Minister Badu said that the price hike was a compulsion.

He said that the Oil Corporation had a deficit of Rs 50 billion till mid-June and the Indian Oil Corporation had arrears of Rs 22 billion.

He also said that the price in the international market has been reduced and increased and the information has been made public on the website of the Oil Corporation.

He also said that the price hike and sale and distribution of petroleum products were in line with the policy and law.
