Mohanraj Malla, Sudurpaschim’s first province leader, has died

Mohanraj Malla, the Sudurpaschim Province’s First Province Chief, died while seeking treatment.

Malla, who has been undergoing treatment for Pneumonia for some time, died at 7:00 a.m. this morning in Kathmandu’s Nidan Hospital, according to his aide Dhansingh Saud.

He has been involved in politics for more than four decades. In the early years of his political career, he was a member of the Rastriya Panchayat from Kailali and then joined the Nepali Congress party.

Before the second Constituent Assembly (CA) elections in 2070 BS, he left the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and joined the Nepali Congress.

In 2074 BS, Malla was named as the province leader. He leaves behind a son and a daughter.
