Monsoon in Nepal 2021: Meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of heavy rain till Monday as the monsoon low-pressure line has moved closer to Nepal.
According to meteorologists, the monsoon low-pressure line has been close to Nepal since Wednesday evening.

Light to moderate rains is falling in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and some places in the far western region.
“Monsoon has become active as the low-pressure line has moved closer to the Terai region of Nepal,” said meteorologist Sameer Shrestha.
He said that there is a possibility of heavy rain on different days and places instead of continuous heavy rain in one place. He said that such an order will continue for the next one week.
Giving an example, meteorologist Shrestha said, “There is a possibility of heavy rain tonight in most parts of Bagmati province and tomorrow morning in most parts of Far-Western province.”
The Meteorological Department of the Department of Water and Meteorology had earlier issued a special bulletin informing about the monsoon becoming more active.
According to the three-day weather forecast bulletin issued by the Division on Thursday morning, heavy rain with thunderstorms is expected in the next 24 hours in Province No. 1, Province No. 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and one or two places in the Far Western Province.
Vigilance has been requested in the hilly areas as there is a risk of soil erosion, landslides, and drift.
This year’s monsoon started with heavy rains. Due to the rains in the last week of June and the first week of July, Sindhupalchowk, Manang, and other districts were badly damaged.
Sindhupalchowk has been the worst-hit district so far in this year’s monsoon.
